The Creative Juices are Flowing

What a wonderful Wednesday!  I spent the morning tutoring (four hours) and then it was just way too hot to enjoy anything else.  I went to Target to get some things for another DIY project!  I will post more on it tomorrow! :)  I literally was sweating by the time I walked in the doors of Target. Disgusting.  I made the decision right then that I was going to stay inside the rest of the day.  I meant it, apparently.  I did not go to the gym, did not go get the mail, did not do ANYTHING!  I'm not going to lie...it felt ah-mazing!
In the process of not doing a whole lot, I (of course) spent time exploring the internet for more projects.  My mom would be so proud.  In fact, she tweeted (yes, she is on Twitter) the other day about how my sister and I are turning into her because we are getting into crafty stuff.  Uh oh!

This first idea I ran across on my sisters Pinterest Board!  I think it is so cute.  It wouldn't work in my house by maybe for something in my classroom.  It would be really cute to get these or paint them in primary colors.  I really could use these....I think.  Any ideas?  Speaking of my sister, check out her new blog !  She has some great DIY projects!

The next idea I ran across was this fabulous way to keep up with birthday's in your classroom.  How adorable is this?  I give major props to whoever thought of this.  My brain is NOT as creative as this.  I want to do this, instead of using a silly birthday poster that is stuck up on the wall.  Maybe I can incorporate it with my zebra ribbons from my previous projects .Again, any ideas?
Last but not least, I discovered this while searching the web.  I had NO IDEA that plastic plates (like 2 bucks) could be used as dry erase boards.  This is so much more handy than passing out the boards every time I want to use them with my students.  This is def. an idea I will be using.  Have you used these?  Do they work as well as I am telling myself they do?
I've never been much of a researcher for my classroom online.  I know you are thinking I am nuts and now I am starting to realize that I must be because there are so many wonderful ideas that creative people have out there.  I have just started reading several blogs and I can't WAIT to get some ideas from those more creative than myself people.
Until tomorrow,
XOXO

  1. One of my friends from college does a blog with her mom and SIL. They are/were all teachers. Some of their stuff is for the kindergarten level, but I'm sure you could modify for second grade. Check out A Teacher at Heart
